Sonia Samjetsabam is one new face in the Manipuri film industry. Her charming personality exudes immense confidence and vibrant energy. Needless to say, with few films, she is already flying with wings of confidence and has already touched the gates of stardom.

Sonia Samjetsabam has made a mark in Manipuri film world with a lead role in the film "Ureinung." Not long before this, she did a cameo in the film "Echam Chamna" as a child actor making her entry into the cine world.

She received the award of "Best Child Actor" for the film "Meiranbi," in 2009 after that she was seen in many albums.

This young beauty is the daughter of Samjetsabam Mangoljao and Sangita. Since the early years of her childhood, she took keen interest in performing arts.

She fetched many awards in various dance competitions and known for burning the dance floor or stage with her skills. She was awarded by the Bright Films Manipur as the "Best Dancer" in 2011.

Here, it is worth noting that Sonia Samjetsabam's father Mangoljao is also another well-known face in the Manipuri film industry as a supporting actor and a director. Sonia was born on September 27, 1997.

This 18-year old has made a mark not only in cine world but also academically! Acting and academic career at least in Manipur are two different routes. She however has balanced the options in her own distinct style. She secured 95% in her matriculation examination and what more proof can we ask for. She is currently pursuing Class XII Science (2015-16) at Mega Manipur School, Imphal East.

Being a papa's girl, she considers her father as her guide and idol. He mentored her on every aspect of performing arts and had been the pillar of strength in her ventures.

This young talent has also received Special Mention Awards 2014 and Best Actor of the year 2015 given by the J Film Vision Academy. We wish her luck and fortune in future.
