Artina: Imphal to Chennai and She is Back

Artina Thoudam is now back with two exciting films called "Imphal to Chennai" and "Ningol Lakpa", after a hiatus!

The female Manipuri actor who captured the hearts of fans and critics alike got first noticed for her interesting role in the film called "Pizza."

She has acted in over 20 films so far. When she disappeared for some time, fans wondered why.

Well, she was away on sabbatical from the world of films to complete her school education.

After making her debut with the film "Autobiography" in 2010, she just wanted to focus on her education and complete her higher secondary school examination. Besides, this beauty also had to struggle with her shoot-dates and others familiar schedules.

As of now, this 5 ft 4 inches tall beauty Artina is back and perhaps the wait will be over for her dedicated fans. If one judges by her current engagements with the film world, perhaps she is back for a long haul this time round.

If you were present during the premier of "Imphal to Chennai", there was not an inch of doubt that the audience had been curiously waiting for her comeback. The overall reactions of those who came to watch her comeback film indicates that she can still set hundred hearts on fire even if there were much room for further improvement in her performance.

Here, it should be noted that many new female actors have made their presence felt on the screen and some have even made commendable breakthrough.

Therefore, her comeback voyage is not going to sail thought a calmed sea. The competition is going to be tougher and struggle protracted, if she ignores perfecting her skills.

For the uninitiated, this sizzling beauty was born at Toubul, Makha Leikai, Bishnupur District to Thoudam Bihari and Thoudam Ongbi Loidang as the youngest child on March 22, 1992. She was mentored by Mutum Brojen from Toubul.

Recalling her first experience in front of the camera, Artina says, "My first scene was with star actor Kaiku and veteran supporting actor Lalitabi but the thrill I got as an actor subdued by my inert coyness."

Some of her notable films include Pizza; Nungshibasae Fagee Nate; Tabunungda Akaiba Likli; Mama Taret; Waikhu; Lucythoibi; Chayetpa Tomnao; Imphal Dagee Chennai; Ningol Lakpa etc.

Artina is young and talented and we expect her to continue setting fire to the screen in the coming years.
