The film explores the strengths and vulnerability of women in Manipuri society. The strength of women can transform a man's life is clearly depicted in this film which is interposed with a mix bag of comedy and emotions.

Leshabi Amana, the first film from the stables of Kalimai Productions narrates the story of a villager Rajesh (Bhogen) who came in search of work to Imphal. He lands up in the house of a rich and snobbish Roma (Romita) as tenant. Roma is depicted as a spoilt girl who behaves beyond the norms of a cultured girl. Their chemistry evolved all of a sudden when Roma on a sick-bed was nursed by Rajesh day and night.

The climax began when Roma's brother Raghu (Amarjeet) came home from somewhere outside the state. Since Roma and Rajesh couldn't resist the temptation of meeting, Raghu immediately sensed the situation. He drove away Rajesh from his rented room for his sin - that is falling in love with Roma. The twist and turns gets more complicated when Roma bore a son out of the wed-lock. Incensed Raghu handed over the child to Rajesh when the latter came to meet Roma on hearing the good news of the birth of his son.

On the other hand, the stone-hearted Raghu got slithered by Chandni (Jogita) when the two meet an accident. He got a change of heart and began to understand the feelings and sentiments of his sister Roma who spent her days in tears yearning for Rajesh. Raghu got her sister appointed as a teacher. Predictably, Roma saw Rajesh seeing off a boy to the school and she knew immediately it was her own son.

Roma met Rajesh at the latter's residence. Raghu also came to know of the situation and he went to Rajesh begging for pardon. Then Rajesh and Roma along with their son led a happy life.

However, Raghu on his way to meet Chandni, was killed by his former friend who sought revenge.

The film comes to an end with Raghu lying dead on the lap of weeping Chandni.
